How do I go about getting a deceased family members medical records if I own a life policy and the beneficiary?

I assume the policy was not in force 2 years before he died. Any life insurance policy 2 years or older is incontestable even for suicide after 2 years.(Hollywood doesn't know this when they make movies) The insurance company usually writes for the records but they need the signature of the person who has legal right to sign for them. So if they or you can't get it then it would be up to the courts.
