What choice of major would be best for my interests?

When I graduated high school last year, I started to attend my local community college. Now, with only two semesters left I believe I want to do something dealing with medical translation/interpretation. Is this "safe" choice considering the state of the economy? What should I major in, or are there any colleges you know of that offer a program I can take? Thanks!
