How does marriage benefit men? It seems to me like the only beneficiaries are women?

A man's worth increases as he ages. His wealth, assets, worldly knowledge and even looks to certain extent all increases with age. Women go down hill rather fast in her mid 30s into her early 40s. A woman's looks is her greatest asset. So women receive all these benefits and men are stuck with her depreciating assets.
