Can anyone help me with this situation? My friend recently got divorced from her husband about a month ago.?

Well he died about 2 weeks ago he left her as beneficiary on his bank account. His previous ex-wife filed court papers so she can get the money to his bank account. They have children together. Does my friend have any rights to the money since she is beneficiary on his account?
