Is California a no-fault divorce state?

I wish to divorce my spouse who suffers from serious mental issues. He may not wish to divorce. We live in California. What happens if I want the divorce and he doesn't? We have no kids and own no property. Our CD bank accounts are held jointly (except for 2 where I'm beneficiary). If he objects to the divorce, will it take longer to achieve? Living with him in his present condition is unbearable and making me a nervous wreck. He's been in and out of psychiatric hospitals. He's elderly(84), and suffers from delusional disorder. I'm 65. I just want to leave, find somewhere else to live and file the divorce papers.
