Eight classes left in January 2012, what about application?

As of January 2012, I will need 8 more classes till I'm ready to transfer to the university I want to go to. My question is, can I send out my transfer application sometime between February and May in the Spring 2012 semester or should I wait till sometime in the Fall 2012 semester when I have 5 or 4 more classes left?
