Sign what? If you ARE a named beneficiary (and are 18 or older) , the insurer will pay any benefit directly and only to you. If you are a minor, a trustee (normally a parent) will have to receive the funds for you. It has NOTHING to do with wills or funeral homes. Life insurance is separate from "wills" (the estate) and "reading of wills" only exists in movies.
